Department

The Department of Radiation Oncology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center – Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Institute (OSUCCC‑James) is seeking a sub‑specialized GU radiation oncologist. The OSUCCC‑James is the third‑largest cancer hospital in the U.S. and an NCI‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Position Overview

The Physician will provide licensed medical care, including diagnosis, treatment, case management, and clinical research. The role involves complex patient care, technical, clinical, and surgical skills, and adherence to the Medical Center's policies and protocols. Responsibilities include participating in clinical care, teaching, and research activities as part of the university’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient‑centered radiation oncology care for genitourinary (GU) malignancies.
  • Perform clinical evaluations, treatment planning, and delivery of radiation therapy.
  • Manage complex and unpredictable patient situations with clinical expertise.
  • Conduct clinical research and translate findings into practice.
  • Engage in teaching activities for medical residents and students.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency in radiation oncology.
  • Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Radiology.
  • Current or eligible licensure in the state of Ohio.
