Responsibilities / Tasks
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and sales strategy for capital equipment solutions in the North American food processing industry.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing sales support and back office team, setting clear goals and expectations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and customer segments within the food processing industry.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of industry developments.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote our capital equipment solutions and enhance brand visibility.
- Collaborate with the global marketing team to create compelling content and campaigns.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Utilize a consultative approach to identify client challenges and recommend customized capital equipment solutions.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals.
- Identify and nurture strategic partnerships and alliances with complementary businesses and organizations.
- Collaborate with partners to create mutually beneficial opportunities.
- Set ambitious order intake targets and revenue goals for the capital equipment solutions portfolio.
- Continuously monitor and assess progress toward achieving objectives.
- Lead and oversee the development and delivery of best-in-class proposals to clients, ensuring they align with client needs and company standards.
- Collaborate with BU service product management teams in the development of service offerings that complement our capital equipment solutions.
- Ensure North American FHT service products meet customer needs and enhance overall value.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the sales support team, ensuring seamless support for sales activities and client interactions.
- Oversee the applications solutions department, ensuring successful technical and application-specific solutions that provide successful business cases for our customers.
- Ensure applications meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Manage and lead a diverse team of seven direct reports, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth.
Candidate could either be based from a GEA office or be home office based within the US with easy access to a major airport.
Must be willing / able to travel to the FHT facility in Frisco, Texas, visit customers, potential clients, and tradeshows and industry functions as required.
Your Profile / Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field (Masters degree or MBA preferred). Six or more years of equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered.
- Proven track record of 5+ years of experience in business development and sales leadership in a B2B environment.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate and work in a matrix environment to achieve results.
- Must be willing / able to travel 50% of the time to visit the technology center in Frisco, customers, potential clients, attend trade shows, and industry functions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate would have proven experience in leading a business development team selling custom engineered equipment and integrated process lines to the food industry.
- Results-oriented mindset with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
