Contract Technical Integration Architect

Our client is in need of an experienced Technical Integration Architect , for a hybrid (three days onsite) contract position which is expected to last a minimum of six months.

The post is for a Boston-based University.

In this role, the individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions that connect our diverse campus systems while supporting our institution’s academic and administrative needs.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure Cloud, Informatica, and API Gateway technologies and preferably a strong background in higher education IT ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of integration patterns, practices, and standards to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability
• Design, develop, and implement enterprise integration architectures that connect various systems across campus (Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, CRM, ERP, etc.)
• Evaluate and recommend integration tools, platforms, and approaches that align with institutional goals and technical strategy
• Create detailed technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and implementation roadmaps for integration projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams working on integration projects
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and data governance requirements specific to higher education
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in system integration and Azure Cloud services
• Develop and maintain documentation for integration architecture, processes, and standards
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to validate integration approaches before full implementation
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration solutions to ensure reliability and performance
