Studio Engineer

Position Title: Studio Engineer

Duration: Contract

Location: Metro Detroit, USA

Essential Criteria:

Support surface development for the Interior and Exterior Surfaces

Support of the Design Studio from the sketch phase through the entire Design process including final surface release

Working closely with the design team and other departments to manage upcoming issues and escalating unresolved issues to the next level

Responsible for liaising with the Vehicle Engineering team to communicate Design intent and for highlighting and communicating conflicts between Product engineering and Design and negotiating solutions to support Design maturation

Ensuring packaging standards and legal requirements are implemented and adhered to

Responsible for deploying hard points, criteria and technical input and supporting the Design team to evolve the Design theme based on them

Responsible for validation of technical input prior to transfer to Design and Modelling teams

Responsible for providing feasibility supporting the design, development and integration of components and systems within specified areas of the vehicle

Responsible for creation of reports which assess various style themes against the master sections using the appropriate company process
