West Virginia Nursing Job Details Location : Weirton, WV 26062 Healthcare Setting : Acute Care, Medical / Surgical Unit (48 beds) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Jobs Start Date : November 7, 2025 End Date : February 6, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7pm-7am), weekends as scheduled Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820-$1950 Charting System : Cerner Soarian Scrub Color : Navy blue for Registered Nurses Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state Current BLS certification Minimum 1 year of recent Medical / Surgical nursing experience Ability to provide a valid, unexpired driver’s license Willingness to float to other Med / Surg, Med / Surg-Tele, or IMC units as needed Flexibility to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply! Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to a diverse population, including pneumonia, UTIs, AMS, GI bleeds, alcohol withdrawal, and general medical / surgical cases Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 6-8 during night shifts Titrate IV drips such as heparin, bumex, and lasix (no cardiac drip titration required) Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care technicians, and respiratory therapists Monitor patients on telemetry (monitor techs available; nurses not required to interpret strips) Document patient care using Cerner Soarian electronic health record system Participate in a supportive healthcare team and adapt to floating as needed Attend 1 day of orientation with an educator / computer system and 1 day with a preceptor Apply now to join our healthcare team in Weirton, West Virginia and take the next step in your nursing career!
