Senior Underwriter, Oregon Licensed

A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter for Mid-Market Accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Apply sound underwriting and business judgment in analyzing and evaluating insurance risks

Develop and maintain effective relationships with field personnel, producers, policyholders, and home office

Provide mentoring and training as appropriate and participate in projects and special assignments

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or five to six years of experience in Employee Benefits underwriting

Proven ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze detailed written information

Demonstrated capability to mentor and identify training gaps and needs of trainees

Ability to make good decisions and utilize negotiation skills effectively

Capable of planning and scheduling work independently to achieve success
