Overview :
We are seeking an accomplished sales professional who specializes in janitorial and maintenance services to join our team as a Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting our commercial janitorial cleaning services to a broad range of industries and companies.
In addition to having a strong command of both verbal and software-based presentation skills, the ideal candidate must possess extensive knowledge of the industry, customer preferences, and excellent organizational abilities. Excellent communication and networking skills are also essential for this role.
The territory will be New Jersey and New York. This position will offer a living base salary + uncapped commission potential.
New Business Development - Prospecting, RFP and Bid Preparation :
- Develop new customer relationships (identify and procure) by utilizing networking, prospecting, existing database, referrals, and cold calling methods
- Meet with management regarding approval of prospects and perform conflict check on new prospects
- Conduct client outreach and nurturing via phone, email, and face-to-face communication
- Review all incoming RFPs and manage all pricing related activities
- Conduct on-the-road prospecting for new potential customers at least 3 days per week
- Nurture client relationships if clients are not ready for our services
- Participate and conduct building walkthroughs with clients for completion of bids and proposals
- Prepare, attend, and present bids, proposals, and RFPs for new customers
- Communicate with prospective clients regarding their questions related to bids, proposals, and RFPs
- Ensure proper coordination with Sales Manager or President regarding proposed staffing levels, pricing assumptions and strategy
- Model labor and other pricing for all bids
- President must approve amount quoted to potential client
Relationship Management - Prospect Tracking and CRM Management :
Add new contacts and update prospects and client information in CRM with correct contact and building informationEstablish and maintain prospect and customer files through CRM on a daily basisEstablish and track customer leads and maintain ongoing customer and potential customer relationshipsMaintain regular contact with new customers for at least 12 months after initial start of serviceContact customer a minimum of monthly by phone to ensure they are satisfied with our serviceEnsure all prospects are properly aggregated, organized and assigned to appropriate personnelOther Responsibilities
Provide monthly sales report to Sales Manager or PresidentPerform such other duties as directed by Sales Manager or PresidentDevelop and maintain economic and market data filesCoordinate with necessary departments (finance, operations, HR) during the start-up of new accounts to ensure a smooth transitionComplete all necessary paperwork for initiation of services, renewals, and commission requests in accordance with company policy and timelinesRequirements :
High School Diploma requiredBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in the service industry accomplishing sales2+ years of experience in B2B Sales with a track record of developing relationships through the sales cycleExperience with government contracting (preferred)Self-starter with excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skillsStrong attention to detail and follow up is a mustAbility to identify decision-maker and close dealsMust be able to creatively customize each proposal to the unique needs of each customerExcellent oral and written communication skills, as well as negotiating skillsStrong presentation skillsSelf-starter and money motivated (uncapped commission)Experienced in Microsoft Suite and using CRM systemsWillingness to learn and is coachableProfessional appearance and demeanerStrong customer serviceStrong work ethic and high level of character and integrityWe Offer :
