Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.n Job Summary : Responsible for ensuring proper care and use of surgical instruments. Anticipates the needs of the surgical team. Establishes and maintains sterile field during surgical procedures in the operating room.n Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities : nnPerforms specified functions to meet the requirements of each approved procedurenAssembles supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians' preference cardsnInspects equipment for proper working conditionnFollows principles of aseptic technique and prescribed operating / procedure room proceduresnAdheres to aseptic technique when opening sterile packages and preparing for the procedurenArranges instruments according to given procedurenConfirms that instruments work properlynMaintains availability of instruments and supplies to avoid delaysnReports observed or suspected breaks in sterile technique and takes action according to policynCorrectly uses, cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment as directednHandles equipment and instruments correctly to provide appropriate availability and safetynAssists in maintaining adequate supplies in the operating room for immediate access during procedurenAssists in storing and stocking supplies as directednMaintains and updates instrument cards and surgeons' preference cardsnResponds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patient and physiciannDocuments patient-care records and other forms according to facility policies and proceduresnAccurately advises others responsible for care of the patient about the patient's statusnAssists with room turnover / room cleaning throughout the day for optimal patient flownOther duties may be assignednn Pay Range : $33.18-$44.72 / hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications and experience.)Required Skills : nHigh School Diploma / GED; completion of a Scrub Technician Certification Program.nMust be a Certified Surgical Tech (CST).n1-2 years of operating room experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.nBLS Certification.nn Who We Aren At USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
