GPI is seeking a Land Surveying Team Leader to join our team in the Salem, NH, or Wilmington, MA offices. You will help manage the land survey operations and oversee the survey work performed throughout the New England region. What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities) :
- Manage clients and assist with business development
- Supervise office staff
- Prepare proposals and assist with marketing efforts for survey-related project pursuits
- Manage and coordinate survey projects with multiple team members
- Provide guidance and direction to survey project managers and survey technicians
- Perform survey computations and boundary resolution for boundary and ALTA Surveys, Aerial and Topographic Surveys with utility locations including pipe inverts and sizes, Construction Layout and As-Built Surveys, Right-of-Way Surveys, and various other project types
What You Bring to the Table :
A minimum of 10 years of experience in field and office aspects of land surveyingProfessional survey licensure required , NH or MA licensure preferredExperience in all aspects of Land Surveying (Site Civil, Utilities, Energy & Public Transportation Agencies a plus)Experience with robotic total stations, GPS, leveling, field procedures, boundary analysis, and resolutionExpertise in Civil3D is required.Knowledge of MicroStation, TopoDOT, and Pix4D is a plusFamiliarity with MassDOT / MaineDOT / NHDOT survey standards is a plusSUE experience is a plusRequirements
Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final considerationPossess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job siteRead, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English languageBasic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team membersAble to stand for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hoursAble to wear and operate personal fall arresting apparatus, and work at a height of 6' or higherAble to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and / or safety glasses / goggles while workingAble to move equipment or inspection specimens weighing up to 50 pounds
