Software Tester

Overview : Design, create, implement and maintain software test plans and documentation. Run tests and / or guide others in running tests. ABOUT FULL CIRCLE SOLUTIONS, INC. Position Name : Software Tester Location : Baltimore, Maryland Hours : 8 – 5 pm (one hour lunch), after hours and weekends as required Employment Status : FULL TIME Qualifications : Equivalent related experience or a Bachelor’s degree required. 2+ to 5 years of experience Requirements : Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office and software testing and reporting tools. Must be able to multi-task effectively. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Possess excellent troubleshooting skills. Must also be able to pass a security background check and pass a for-cause and pre-employment drug test.Responsibilities : Develop, publish and implement test plans and standards. Write and maintain test automation. Run tests and / or guide others in running tests. Define and track metrics such as defects and open defect counts. Coordinate the members of the team as a list of tests are defined; consolidate, document and maintain the list of tests themselves from each department; ensure that full testing coverage for conversion and functionality is achieved with the minimum of overlap between tests. Ensure that all necessary tests are written. Assist in coordination of training schedules; coordinate and schedule testing. Assist in prioritizing issues found during testing; provide status reports. Attend project review meetings. Make a list of tests needed to ensure correct conversion and system functionality. Design tests to be used; provide feedback on interim software drops. Attend training sessions. Assist the team by developing the test plans based on team input, facilitating as needed in team meetings (e.g. providing examples of tests, assisting in schedule development, reviewing tests), providing training, and assist in prioritizing issues. Coordinate with developers, who will also provide delivery of the software, assist in installation of the software in the test environment, and provide updated software in response to resolved issues.
