Overview : Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Shipping Assistant Manager, you will assist in managing the Shipping department. The Shipping department is responsible for organizing all outgoing orders by placing packages into the correct shipping containers. You will motivate and provide leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently and on time. Responsibilities : The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Motivating and leading team members
• Coordinating employees, including scheduling, hiring, and exiting
• Ensuring day-to-day operations are completed
• Communicating with employees and branches
• Inspecting product for damage and documenting discrepancies
• Sorting product into correct locations
• Stacking product efficiently
• Consolidating, loading, and unloading shipments
• Analyzing staffing needs, reports and projections to optimize output and meet department goals
• Utilizing data to implement changes and identify areas for improvement
• Maintaining the cleanliness / organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety, and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
