Senior Data Engineer

We are open to considering candidates who either reside in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area, are within a reasonable commuting distance to Tysons Corner and Alexandria, VA and / or are willing to relocate at their own expense. Candidates who reside in the DMV area will be prioritized.

This position requires being onsite at our Tysons or Alexandria office 3 days a week.

About the role :

We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance data infrastructure that underpins the organization's analytics, modelling, and machine learning initiatives.

Day-to-day, you will :

• Design, build, and maintain ETL / ELT (Extract, Transform, Load / Extract, Load, Transform) workflows to ingest, clean, and transform data from diverse sources.
• Develop and optimize data infrastructure to support cloud and on-premises environments (i.e. AWS, Snowflake) for analytics and machine learning.
• Automate and streamline workflows using Python and SQL to improve data processes, pipeline performance, and scalabilty.
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and apply validation checks to maintain data integrity.
• Prepare well-structured datasets for dashboards, forecasting, and operational insights.
• Collaborate with analytics, Information Technology, and other internal business teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Extract and prepare data for internal and external reporting, including performance and compliance.
• Stay current on emerging tools and support initiatives that drive business improvement through data.
