Vintner's Table has a great opportunity for full-time or part-time Tasting Hosts! $8 per hour + tips!

Job Purpose :

The Vintner's Table Tasting Host is responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive and memorable experience at Vintner's Table. Tasting Hosts should have a genuine interest and great enthusiasm for learning about wine and sharing that knowledge with our guests as they guide them through service / wine tastings. This role is intended for someone with excellent verbal and interpersonal skills and someone who enjoys conversing and interacting with different types of people and different types of wine drinkers. The Tasting Host should take personal leadership in providing outstanding service and friendliness that exceeds expectations with every customer, to build authentic and loyal customer relationships.

Under the guidance of the Restaurant Manager, the Tasting Host serves as the first point of contact for our customers. This is a brand ambassador that will carry out exceptional customer experiences and wine education that results in wine sales. As a result, the Tasting Host should possess serving and / or wine bar experience, should have a super-charged customer-focused attitude, and a vibrant enthusiasm for wine and food.

Qualifications :

• Commitment to excellence and high standards of customer service.
• Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Basic knowledge and passion for wine, wine service, winemaking, and wine education.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Able to communicate effectively.
• Able to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Twenty-one years of age or older; ability to pass RAMP training.
• Restaurant and / or Wine Tasting Room experience a plus.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 10 hours a day.
• Weekends, holidays, and evenings are required.

Owner's Andrea and Marco Folino decided it was time to take their love for wine and bringing people together to a location known for it's style, history, and culture. "On our honeymoon, Marco and I found a little hole in the wall in Lake Como that only served the best fresh sliced Italian cured meats and cheeses on a board with honey, nuts and olives and it was the best meal we had. We never forgot it and want to bring the same experience to Vintner's Table". Vintner's Table is home to a Salumeria Bar, Gift Shop, and Tasting Bar where guests can enjoy light bites, shop unique Italian inspired items, and of course taste and purchase all wines from the Signature, Black Label, and Estate Grown collections. Located in the heart of downtown Phoenixville.
