American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hannibal, Missouri.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Stepdown RN with at least 1 year of experience, ACLS / BLS certifications, and a MO or compact license for a travel night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Stepdown unit of a short term acute care hospital
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 3
  • Float rotation required to med tele, med surg, and rehab units as needed
  • Works 3x12 hour night shifts
  • Every third weekend shift required
  • May be assigned charge duties as needed
  • Must be comfortable caring for isolation patients, including those with COVID
  • Uses EPIC for charting
  • Experience required with drips including Cardizem, Amio, Heparin, and Dobutamine
  • Experience with procedures and equipment such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, Bipap, and Airvo
  • First-time travelers accepted for this assignment
  • Orientation typically runs 3-4 days and may start on the 2nd or 4th Monday of the month
  • Scrub color is black
  • Free parking available on site
  • Drug screen and alcohol screening required prior to and at orientation
  • All requested time off must be included in application for consideration
  • Smoke-free facility

    • Requirements

  • Active MO or compact RN license
  • At least 1 year of stepdown or similar unit experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications
  • Comfortable with floating to other units within scope
  • Experience with isolation and COVID patients required
  • Ability and willingness to handle charge duties if needed
  • Not open to candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility
