Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist :

Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures

Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment safely and effectively

Prepare and position patients for procedures

Maintain sterile fields and adhere to procedural safety standards

Monitor patient status and provide support throughout procedures

Document procedural details accurately

Ensure proper handling of contrast agents and supplies

Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and procedural staff for optimal outcomes

Requirements :

Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience

ARRT (R) required; CV or VI certification preferred

Active Texas state license (if applicable)

BLS certification

Strong understanding of IR procedures, radiation safety, and equipment operation

Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
