Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Hendersonville, TN (zip 37075) – Nashville metro area

Healthcare Setting : Birth Center – OB Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 9 / 22 / 2025 – End : 12 / 22 / 2025)

Nursing Shift : 12-Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910 - $1960

Open Positions : 3 L&D RN jobs available

Unit Details : 20 LDRPs, 5 OB assessment beds, GE fetal monitors, Novii systems

Support Staff : Unit secretaries, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), OB scrub techs

Documentation : CPN and Meditech electronic health records

Dress Code : Shocking pink scrubs

L&D Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Intermediate fetal monitoring skills (AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring)

Experience with triage and couplet care

Ability to circulate in the OR for cesarean sections

Required Certifications : BLS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

L&D RN Responsibilities

Provide bedside shift reports and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Deliver comprehensive care for laboring patients, including VBACs, magnesium sulfate, and insulin protocols

Perform triage assessments and manage early labor / cervical ripening

Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, epidurals, postpartum tubals, cerclage removals, and circumcisions

Accurately document patient care using CPN and Meditech systems

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
