Product Engineer I

Review customer specifications to understand technical requirements, comments, clarifications, and exceptions for projects.

• Assist in the selection and specification of compressors and associated rotating equipment.
• Support the design and specification of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and piping.
• Perform engineering calculations related to piping pressure loss, control valve sizing, heat transfer, etc., under guidance.
• Create P&IDs and basic package layouts using PC-based drawing programs (AutoCAD preferred).
• Provide support for design of sub-systems in accordance with industry codes and standards (ASME, IIAR, ASHRAE, TEMA, etc).
• Assist in drafting inquiries, specifications, and requisitions for purchased equipment.
• Support project teams and other departments in technical tasks and problem resolution.
• Review and check basic drawings and assist with IOM documentation.
• Participate in cost estimation and meetings.
• Create Bills of Material, drawing packages, and support Production teams as needed.
• Support senior engineers and team members with project tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
