Location : Houston

Salary Range : $180,000-$200,000

Key Responsibilities

Seeking a highly skilled associate or counsel to join our growing practice focused on Employment & Labor law.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Texas employment litigation advice and counseling.

Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research; drafting motions, pleadings, and dispositive motions; attending court appearances; drafting and responding to discovery and meet and confer letters; defending individual and class action wage and hour claims both in court and in arbitration; responding to government investigation and inquiries.

Candidate Requirements

3-4 years of experience in labor and employment law.

Strong background in federal and state statutes that affect the employment relationship.

Have a strong background in Texas employment litigation and advice and counseling.

Significant experience with adversary proceedings, including litigating matters in both state and federal courts.

Trial experience preferred.

Familiarity with employment manuals and other relevant employment-related documents.

Comfort with direct client interaction, including providing legal counseling and advice on employment-related matters.

Candidates should be an active member and in good standing of the Texas bar.
