About the Role
Senior DevOps Engineer (Hybrid – three days in office, two days remote). Part of the Enterprise Architecture organization, the engineer will ensure the availability, scalability, and reliability of IBKR’s systems and applications.
Responsibilities
- Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and conduct proof‑of‑concept work on new technologies.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable build and release processes.
- Serve as an escalation contact for service incidents as part of an on‑call rotation.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or other STEM‑related field.5+ years of experience in Linux / Unix systems and networking fundamentals.5+ years of coding experience.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation).Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.Experience in a highly regulated industry such as healthcare or finance (preferred).Experience with agile methodologies.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Experience in application software development.Benefits & Perks
