Position Title : Construction Equipment Technician

Reporting to : Service Manager

Department : Service

Central Power Systems & Services is a privately held company founded in 1954. Our mission is to forge long-lasting partnerships by providing first-class customer support. We are looking for a Construction Equipment Technician to help support that mission.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on full line of construction equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot for both minor and major repairs.
• Build and maintain customer, vendor and factory relationships.
• Perform repairs within established labor time guides.
• Achieve over 90% efficiency rating while maintaining quality of workmanship.
• Create detailed parts and labor repair scopes for quoting.
• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, technical blueprints, service and parts diagrams.
• Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized and work with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime if needed and be on a rotating on-call list.
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections on service trucks per DOT regulations.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions

This position requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels. Employees may be assigned other tasks as needed.
