Job Overview
\n
The Carpenter / Painter maintains building interior walls, flooring, ceilings, entry doors, fitting room hardware, fixture drawers, and hinges. This role performs journey-level painting, finishing, and maintenance on a variety of interior and exterior surfaces, structures, and fixtures. The Carpenter / Painter works across multiple facilities as needed.

Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week. Skills You Will Need

Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of carpentry, painting, finishing, and general maintenance.
\n
Tool & Equipment Handling : Proficiency in using power tools and handling materials safely.
\n
Problem-Solving & Adaptability : Ability to assess and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently.
\n
Resourcefulness : Capacity to work within the constraints of the facilities budget while meeting store maintenance needs.
\n
Safety & Compliance : Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
\n
Hazardous Material Handling : Ability to safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
\n
Project & Time Management : Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects across different locations.
\n
Task Prioritization : Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and business needs.
\n
Work Order System Utilization : Effective use of work order systems for tracking maintenance and repairs.
\n
Communication & Collaboration : Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with store management, employees, and team members.
\n
Reporting & Documentation : Ability to provide clear updates on maintenance tasks, issues, and resolutions.
