Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for night shifts at a critical access facility, requiring a WA or compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of ER experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the Emergency Department of a critical access hospital
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 5
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 00
  • Every other weekend scheduling is required
  • No floating between units within the same facility, but floating to sister facilities in the state may be required
  • No on-call required
  • Epic EMR is used and experience with Epic is required
  • All RN / allied staff may wear any color scrubs
  • Care for emergency and trauma patients in a fast-paced critical access hospital environment
  • Periodic completion of pre-start and annual online modules is required
  • Teamwork oriented, supportive environment with a small interdisciplinary team
  • All requested time off must be submitted up front; limited RTO is permitted and post-submission requests are typically not considered
  • Floating to other nearby facilities in the state may be required
  • Free parking is available
  • Dress code allows for any color scrubs

  • Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and PALS are preferred
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty / setting
  • Must not be a first-time traveler
  • Return employees must have not worked as a perm staff for at least 3 months prior to applying as a traveler
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for full travel benefits; locals accepted at a lower rate
