Founded in 1983 by Fabrizio Pedrolli, Vias Imports is a family-owned company with a mission to represent family-owned wineries and distilleries. We specialize in bringing Italian biodiversity to the American market, featuring over 200 wines with native varietals in our portfolio.

Vias moves beyond standard Italian offerings, creating meaningful relationships with producers who actively preserve their region's varietals and traditional methods while maintaining the highest quality standards. Our discoveries have become staples on wine lists at America's most renowned restaurants and retail establishments.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sales Representative to join our team and represent our exceptional portfolio in the Long Island and Hamptons territory. This role is perfect for an energetic professional who thrives on building relationships and sharing their passion for fine wines and spirits with restaurateurs, retailers, and industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with restaurants, wine shops, and hospitality venues throughout Long Island and the Hamptons
  • Present and sell Vias Imports' diverse portfolio of premium wines and spirits
  • Conduct tastings and educational sessions for clients and their staff
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence in the territory
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ongoing support to existing accounts
  • Maintain accurate sales records and territory reports
  • Collaborate with marketing team on promotional activities and events
  • Stay current on industry trends and product knowledge

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in wine sales, distribution, or related beverage industry roles
  • Proven track record in B2B sales in the wine and spirits industry
  • Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and production methods
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with high energy and enthusiasm for the wine industry
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for industry events and tastings
  • Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for high-end hospitality environments
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Wine certifications (Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirit Education Trust, etc.)
  • Experience with Italian wines and native varietals
  • Established relationships within Long Island / Hamptons hospitality industry
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Bilingual capabilities (Italian, Spanish, or French) a plus

    This position covers the Long Island and Hamptons market, including but not limited to :

  • Nassau and Suffolk Counties
  • East Hampton, Southampton, and surrounding Hamptons communities
  • Established fine dining restaurants, wine bars, and retail establishments
