FOX is seeking a top caliber Fitness Specialist to join our growing team in the Flushing, NY area. Start your career today and join our fight to abolish ageism.

This position is a newer position starting with a couple hours a week.

Lots of potential to grow with the position.

Current class schedule is Monday & Friday at 10am

Founded in 1998, FOX was the FIRST private practice in the country to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for the older adult population . Helping patients restore the quality of life they deserve and desire, our focus is the rehabilitation of lives delivered through evidence-based therapy with innovative and proactive treatment.

The Fi tness Specialist opportunity entails the following :

Patient continuity : Patients are prescribed exercise programs to maintain functional levels after discharge from rehabilitation services.

Excellent support system : Fox provides significant support for our Fitness Specialists through leadership, clinical education, and an assigned Program Manager .

Requirements :

Must have one of the following : Bachelors in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or Exercise Physiology; Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized and accredited organization preferred (i.e., ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, ISSA); or p rior experience as a fitness trainer, with willingness to become a Certified Personal Trainer

Routine travel to patient residences and between Senior Living Communities.

Expand territory as needed.

Travel as needed per practice requirements.

CPR Certification

P revious experience working with older adults in a proactive and wellness setting preferred.

Basic computer skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

In New York, the standard base pay range for this role is $19.25 - $27.75 an hour with an opportunity to earn more.
