Senior Procurement Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to lead purchasing operations and drive cost-effective sourcing strategies for our manufacturing organization. This role will manage the end-to-end procurement cycle while collaborating cross-functionally to support production and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Lead procurement activities to acquire materials, equipment, and services that support manufacturing operations and business objectives
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Review and fulfill purchase requests from engineering, production, facilities, and other business units
- Maintain accurate purchase order records and monitor order status through completion
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and warehouse teams to address procurement challenges and streamline processes
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to prevent production disruptions
- Utilize MRP systems to forecast material needs and plan purchasing activities
Required Qualifications :
3+ years of procurement or buying experience, preferably within a manufacturing settingStrong understanding of purchasing principles and material planning methodologiesDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendorsProficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP / purchasing software systemsProven track record of managing competing priorities in dynamic environmentsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline preferredPreferred Qualifications :
