PURPOSE OF THE JOB
A Multi-Craft MaintenanceTech maintains, installs, removes, constructs and repairs facility equipment safely. Ensures plant equipment performs at maximum levels and minimizes unscheduled interruption of the plant operation. Responsible for both electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance activities. Familiarity of programmable logic controllers, electrical systems, and process control systems is required.

High school diploma or equivalentFormal industrial electrical and / or mechanical maintenance experiencePrefer formal classroom industrial maintenance trainingBasic computer skillsWork varying shifts for training and Line Start Up / Commissioning, then transition Night shift schedule : 6 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 AMPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Associates Degree or Technical Certificate in Industrial Electronics or Maintenance preferred.Proficient in Allen Bradley and / or Siemens PLC.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Maintenance knowledge with handling, installing, testing and operating all types of mechanical and electrical equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, motors, MCCs, electrical, HVAC, PLC, etc.Precision and Predictive maintenance techniques knowledge and applicationsMaintenance planning and scheduling knowledge to execute planned work and record unplanned workDetermines the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a jobMaintenance metrics knowledge to monitor, optimize and drive continuous improvementEffective communication skills to work with all levels of the plant organization, contractors and vendorsMathematical ability utilizing arithmetic, algebra and geometryAbility to read and work from technical manuals, engineering drawings, sketches, charts, etc.Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with large industrial equipmentQuick decision-making ability to overcome upset situationsWork independently and cooperatively with othersRequires little or no supervision, and operates both safely and with a sense of urgencyAccepts change and considerable variety in the workplaceMust learn new controls technologies and systems as required throughout plantIdentifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutionsLift, carry and handle up to 50 lbs.Ability to operate cranes, forklifts and various man liftsCOMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
Ensures operation of machinery and electrical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on all plant, ancillary and facilities necessary equipmentActively and consistentlyengages in Total Productive Maintenance andtransfers knowledgein the basics ofAutonomous Maintenance and Preventive MaintenancePrograms HMIs, PLCs, Servos, and other electrical systemsMakes safe, timely and appropriate decisions when an emergency or breakdown occurs so that production interruption is minimizedFor equipment or processes where maintenance costs are high, where reliability is low, or where chronic problems exist, performs additional analysis to identify appropriate maintenance practices (e.g., Root Cause Failure Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Reliability-centered maintenance analysis).Diagnose basic electrical problems and determines how to correct them, checking schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessaryUses PLC computer interfaces for troubleshootingUses the manufacturing communications network effectivelyFollows the plant safety process and ensures that good safety habits are instilled in the other craft labor and equipment operators.Maintains an awareness of all safety issues within area of responsibility, and responds with appropriate urgency to correct safety issues identified.Ensures compliance with the electrical Arc Flash and Lock, Tag, Try (LTT) safety initiativesDevelop and provide skills training to other employeesMaintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing professional and intercompany networksRegular onsite attendancePerforms other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisorESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
