Ophthalmic Consultants Of Boston Scheduling Specialist
Ophthalmic Consultants Of Boston is looking for full-time Scheduling Specialists to support our ophthalmic patients and providers. This is an inbound and outbound contact center position where you will be responsible for receiving and making phone calls to schedule or reschedule appointments for both new and existing patients. There is no face-to-face interaction with patients or other customers; approximately 90% of your time will be spent on the phone.
Your responsibilities will include handling a minimum of 60 to 100 phone calls per day, addressing online requests, assisting patients in navigating to the triage team for further evaluation, and completing patient registration to schedule or reschedule appointments. Our goal is to ensure that patients, providers, and other customers receive timely, efficient, and high-quality service. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the patient's experience.
Position Summary : We are seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused Appointment Schedulers to join our high-volume call center team. The ideal candidates will have experience with patient registration, setting up patient demographics, verifying insurance plans and benefits, and delivering exceptional service to both patients and referring providers. This role is essential in coordinating patient care by efficiently scheduling appointments for multiple physicians while adhering to specific scheduling criteria and appointment guidelines. This position is onsite Monday through Friday 8 : 00-4 : 30PM.
