The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production of outdoor power equipment. This role focuses on improving productivity, reducing costs, maintaining product quality, and supporting new product introductions in a high-volume production environment.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for :

• Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows for outdoor power equipment assembly and fabrication.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with design engineering on new product introductions to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce downtime, and improve throughput.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues impacting safety, quality, or efficiency.
• Specify, justify, and implement new equipment, tooling, and automation solutions.
• Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Partner with maintenance teams to establish preventive maintenance strategies for critical equipment.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements :

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies. Knowledge of outdoor power equipment design and assembly processes.
