Certified Medical Assistant - Pratt Diagnostic Center - Boston

This role focuses on providing medical and clinical support services to patients. The position is responsible for continuous, efficient, and smooth patient flow in the outpatient / ambulatory setting. Plays an important role in the revenue cycle process, clinical operations, and patient experience.

Under general supervision of licensed personnel, this position is responsible for :

• Controlling and monitoring patient flow to maximize efficient use of providers and exam rooms.
• Preparing medical records for patient visits.
• Exercising a high degree of customer service in all interactions with patients.
• Ensuring patient and personal safety.
• Assisting and / or chaperoning providers / nursing with physical exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Performing and recording vital signs.
• Performing collection of specimens and / or ensuring the necessary supplies and equipment are ready for the provider.
• Assisting in arranging for diagnostic testing and surgical procedures.
• Assisting with patient billing.
• Stocking, maintaining, and rotating medical supplies in clinic rooms.
• Participating in unit specific quality improvement projects.
• Providing administrative support.
• Administering immunizations as needed.
