Role Overview
Drive strategic business development initiatives across assigned U.S. territories to expand market presence and promote CRO / CDMO services. This role focuses on lead generation, client engagement, brand development, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Development :
Execute targeted business development strategies to grow market share and brand recognition within designated regions.
Lead Generation & Market Research :
Identify and qualify potential clients through primary market research, focusing on organisations aligned with CRO / CDMO offerings.
Event & Conference Planning :
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and coordinate participation in industry conferences and events that support business development goals.
Client Outreach & Engagement :
Initiate contact with prospective clients via cold calls, digital outreach, and in-person meetings to present capabilities and solutions.
Proposal Coordination :
Manage incoming project opportunities (RFPs) by liaising with internal stakeholders to develop and submit comprehensive proposals.
Reporting & Metrics :
Provide monthly reports detailing outreach activities, client interactions, and new business opportunities generated within the territory.
CRM Management :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, client communications, and sales activities in the CRM system.
Follow-Up
Ensure timely follow-up with clients for outstanding payments and support the finance team in collections.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in chemistry, science, or management.
2+ years of BD experience in the pharmaceutical industry (discovery CRO or CDMO preferred).
Go-getter and self-driven personality with a strong sense of responsibility.
Good interpersonal communication skills, pioneering spirit, strong customer service awareness, and team spirit.
