Job Summary : The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for originating, evaluating, and managing commercial loans while building and maintaining strong relationships with business clients. The ideal candidate will have an existing commercial loan portfolio, a deep understanding of commercial lending products, and a proven track record in sales and production within the financial services industry. Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of commercial lending opportunities.
- Manage and grow an existing commercial loan portfolio , ensuring portfolio quality and performance.
- nalyze financial statements, credit reports, and business plans to assess loan viability.
- Structure and negotiate loan terms in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-sell additional banking products and services to meet client needs.
- Maintain a strong background and knowledge of commercial products and services , including applicable regulations and requirements.
- Build and nurture relationships with business owners, accountants, attorneys, and other referral sources.
- Monitor loan performance and work with clients to resolve any financial challenges.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and competitor offerings.
Qualifications & Must-Have Requirements :
3 to 5 years of experience in commercial or business lending within a progressive financial services company.Existing commercial loan portfolio with a proven ability to manage and grow client relationships.Strong background in commercial lending products, regulations, and underwriting standards.Proven success in a sales and production role within the financial services industry.Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess credit risk and financial viability.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).Preferred Skills :
Experience with loan origination systems (LOS) and CRM tools.Knowledge of SBA lending programs.Existing network of business clients and referral sources.
