Project Accountant / Property Accountant

Location :  San Gabriel Valley

Pay :  $30 per hour

Temporary position with strong possibility of going temp to hire

Offers a hybrid schedule once trained. Must be local to Southern California.

We are hiring a  Project Accountant / Property Accountant  for a temporary role supporting accounting functions tied to power plant projects—new builds, retrofits, and updates.

Key Responsibilities :

Review and verify the completeness of job closing packages

Analyze project costs and budgets to ensure accuracy and proper documentation

Track and process fixed asset activity, including additions and retirements

Interpret as-built drawings to identify installed and retired utility facilities

Prepare cost summaries and journal entries to finalize closed work orders

Generate final cost statements for completed projects

Process CIAC (Contributions in Aid of Construction) with correct asset values and cost of removal

Run various queries and support special projects and account analysis

Requirements :

2+ years of experience in project administration, project accounting, or related role

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, not required

General accounting background, especially in fixed assets

Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)

Experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Ability to read technical construction documents and drawings

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
