Job OverviewWe are a fast paced Orange County firm seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business litigation. This role requires excellent writing and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to litigate and advocate effectively . The Contract Attorney will work closely with clients to provide legal advice, draft documents, and represent them in legal matters.
- Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence and memoranda.
- Interface with clients.
- Prepare discovery; review discovery; respond to discovery requests; prepare discovery meet and confer correspondence.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Prepare for and attend hearings.
- Trial and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources to support case preparation.
- Represent clients in negotiations and litigation proceedings as required.
- Maintain organized records of all case files and client communications within the law office.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive legal support for clients.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting practice areas.
- Requirements
- Member of the California State Bar;
- Generate high quality work product under tight deadlines.
- Minimum 5 years litigation experience required.
- Please do not apply if you have not been licensed to practice for at least 5 years.
- Strong work ethic.
- Superior research and writing skills.
- Patience to handle changing priorities, and quickly shifting from one situation or task to another.
- Excellent business judgment, interpersonal skills, and sound negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay : $100.00 - $135.00 per hour
