Medical Assistant

Pediatric subspecialty practice is seeking a fulltime, seasoned medical assistant with at least 7+ years of MA experience. We are looking for a enthusiastic, professional, and motivated individual, that is a self-starter, hardworking, can multi-task, and is a team player. Must be good in math and pay meticulous attention to detail. To be considered for this position, there must be a love for or want to work with kids, especially those with special needs. EMR and Pediatric experience is a plus as well as having worked with eClinicalWorks. Because this is a pediatric subspecialty clinic, this position is best suited for someone who works best in quality not quantity. The MA will work with one other MA as well as an EEG technician. Depending on experience and how well the candidate learns the job, there is potential for advancement in this position.

Duties include, but are not limited to :

Patient triage

Obtaining patients' vital signs

Directly assisting the physician

Working with the front office to ensure steady flow of clinic

Preparing and maintaining exam rooms

Maintaining inventory

Calling in prescriptions

Returning patient calls in a timely manner

Obtaining prior authorizations as needed for medications and / or procedures

Scheduling appointments

Answering phones

Parent teaching

Speaking with drug reps etc.

Billing

Administrative duties

Other duties as needed
