Job description

Swoon is hiring for our energy & utilities client in Houston, TX and this will be a hybrid role.

This is an 11-month contract opportunity with Benefits - Health, Dental & Vision (50% of premium is covered for contractor).

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented contractor to support payment processing operations within the CDM system. This role is highly data-driven and requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and efficiency in reviewing and applying customer payments. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, researching discrepancies, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and post all assigned manual and electronic customer payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Research check payments and determine appropriate customer accounts for application.
  • Reconcile payment discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of payments to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with specialized or complex payment research tasks as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain reports using internal systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Collaborate with team members through group chat and other internal communication tools.
  • Support additional department initiatives and special projects as needed.
