Pay: $27–$30/hr (Depending on experience)

General Purpose:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports engineering and production teams in the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for large power inverter units. This role is highly hands-on and process-focused, working closely with process and product engineers to improve efficiency, support production ramp-up, and assist with tooling and fixture development. The technician will interpret technical drawings, support documentation, conduct time studies, and help implement scalable manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced production environment.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Support process engineers with implementation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Assist in building, modifying, and maintaining jigs, fixtures, and tooling used in production.
- Utilize CAD software to review and support tooling and fixture designs (non-product design).
- Provide documentation support including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct time studies and analyze production data to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Support production ramp-up efforts to meet increasing daily and weekly build targets.
- Work hands-on on the production floor assisting with assembly, troubleshooting, and process validation.
- Assist with setup, optimization, and troubleshooting of conveyor systems and production lines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement processes across multiple production phases (inverter builds, PCBA, and enclosures).
- Support installation and validation of new production lines and equipment.
- Identify process issues and recommend solutions to improve quality, safety, and productivity.\
- Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and production teams regarding process improvements and challenges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- 0–3+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, or a related field (internships considered).
- Basic CAD experience required (tooling/fixture exposure preferred; not product design focused).
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
- Exposure to conveyor systems, automation, or high-volume manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a process improvement mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a rapidly expanding manufacturing operation.
