Handler / Shuttle Driver / Non-DOT

Job Duties

Provides movement of packages in a safe and efficient manner; to operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages; to perform shuttle functions using a less than 10,000 lb gross vehicle weight vehicle. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and / or assistance from another person. Able to walk and stand for designated work hours. Able to bend and squat for designated work hours. Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level. Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location. Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location. Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location. Ability to work with power and hand tools. Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. The ability to communicate both timely and effectively, in a noisy operations environment, is required. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Since operating motorized conveyances is required in this job, employee must possess a valid driver's license.

Pay Transparency : This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and / or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full / part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.

Pay : Starting Wage is $19.68 / hour

Additional Details : Monday - Friday 4 : 45am - 9 : 30am
