Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Nurse Manager of Surgical Services (OR) to lead perioperative operations within a highly specialized cardiovascular and spine hospital in the Dallas area. This position oversees approximately 60 team members supporting CVOR, Spine OR, Anesthesia Techs, Sterile Processing, and PCTs. The role blends hands-on clinical leadership with strategic planning to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical care.

Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of Spine OR, CVOR, SPD, and related perioperative departments.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workflow to maintain safe coverage and case throughput.
- Evaluate clinical quality, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and administrative teams to optimize procedures and resource utilization.
- Monitor department budgets, equipment procurement, and inventory management.
- Mentor and develop nursing and technical staff, encouraging engagement and accountability.
- Lead performance-improvement, service-excellence, and patient-experience initiatives.
- Participate in strategic planning for surgical growth and innovation.
Qualifications
Required :
Active RN license (Texas or Compact State)Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in Surgical Services (with ability to circulate or scrub)Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross)Preferred :
Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare AdministrationCNOR certification (Required within one year if not current)Demonstrated experience managing multi-service perioperative departmentsCompensation & Total Rewards
