The Payroll Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the Payroll Manager and Payroll Team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining employee payroll data, assisting with payroll reporting, compliance, reconciliation activities, and supporting payroll operations using our HRIS and payroll platform (ADP). The Payroll Analyst works closely with Human Resources, Finance, and the Payroll team to ensure payroll accuracy, data integrity, and adherence to applicable federal, state, and local requirements. In addition to core payroll processing responsibilities, this role may assist, as assigned, with limited pension-related reporting and support activities. Processes payroll accurately and timely, including wages, deductions, taxes, and withholdings, in accordance with established policies and procedures.Reviews payroll data for accuracy, reasonableness and completeness; escalates discrepancies or issues as appropriate.Assists with payroll reconciliations and audits as directed by Payroll leadership.Responds to routine payroll-related questions from employees and managers regarding earnings, deductions, and withholdings.Supports payroll tax activities, including review of exemptions, corrections, and year-end processing, under supervision.Prepares standard payroll reports and documentation as assigned.Assists Finance with payroll-to-general-ledger reconciliations as needed.Maintains accurate payroll records and documentation in compliance with record retention requirements.Assists with payroll system testing, maintenance, and updates as directed.Follows established payroll controls to ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and data security.Other duties as assignedPension & Retirement Support (Limited and As Assigned) :
Assists with pension or retirement-related reporting and data requests as assigned.Supports preparation of payroll-related data for pension audits, filings, or internal reviews.Coordinates with internal teams or external vendors for information requests, under direction.(Note : This role provides support only and does not oversee, manage, or administer pension or retirement plans.)
Job Requirements :
Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.2-3 years of payroll experience with increasing responsibility preferred.Strong working knowledge of payroll processes, wage and hour laws, and payroll tax requirements.Experience supporting audits and reconciliations.Advanced attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Office (Excel required).Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.High level of discretion and confidentiality.Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit or stand at a desk 90% of the day.Visual / hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written or verbal communication.Ability to express self verbally and in writing.Ability to use telephone and communicate over the phone.Frequently uses a laptop computer to enter orders and obtain product information.Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category III - Employee who rarely has contact with blood and body fluids.Compensation & Benefits :
