Job Summary
- Provides excellent care to patients and assistance to physicians.
- Duties include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the Electronic Medical Record system, assisting with day to day patient care, and other duties as assigned.
- Flexibility and adaptability are crucial for this role, as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail and multi-task.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and transition duties as needed during clinic days.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and ability to follow through with all tasks assigned with accuracy and efficiency are essential for this role.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited program in Medical Assistant Training or equivalent experience required.Experience
Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and / or a hospital setting that provides patient care.Prefer medical office, insurance, referral and prior authorization, hospital or computer experience.Experience in office clerical activities desirable.(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure / Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.CMA or RMA preferred.Compensation / Benefits
