Essential Functions Statement(s)

Provide final approval and ensure timely turnaround of First Article Samples.

Lead, support, and manage the internal quality team.

Provide guidance to subordinates, as needed.

Oversee and supervise the work of quality team; take corrective action, as needed.

Develop and implement efficient and effective internal procedures and processes for quality team.

Collaborate with the customer and the APR Asia QM to resolve customer quality issues.

Manage the customer aspect of Corrective / Preventive Actions and Nonconforming Material Programs.

Support the APR Asia office in the development of suppliers in Asia to meet or exceed APR Supply Chain Management performance metrics and requirements.

Support the APR Asia QM in qualifying vendors and work to get customer approval. Support the development of detailed assessment of all key suppliers.

Perform domestic Supplier Quality Audits and provide support for the APR Asia QM.

Maintain the Quality Management System and ensure continued compliance with the most recent ISO 9001 standards.

Manage customer requests for compliance statements.

Assemble and train internal audit team, create audit schedule, audit various departments of the organization and present findings to top management.

Prepare and conduct new customer onboarding process.

As needed, travel for customer visits to review part applications and quality issues and fulfill administration requirements to include, but not limited to print review, FAI procedures, etc.

Collaborate closely with executive team on continuous improvement activities.

Oversee the quality equipment calibration maintenance program.

Understand the necessity for accuracy and be sensitive and reactive to the urgency and timeliness of requests.

Keep organized records of tasks and files.

Proofread and double check all data to ensure accuracy.

Communicate with co-workers to ensure the best service possible.

Oversee additional tasks necessary, as requested, to fulfill the needs of the company.

REVIEW ELEMENTS

The following elements will be utilized to effectively and efficiently evaluate your performance in this role. These should summarize the essential functions of your position.

Manage quality team. Oversee and supervise subordinates to ensure work output is acceptable; provide leadership and guidance to the quality team.

Work with the APR Asia Quality Team to resolve quality issues, develop and qualify suppliers and vendors, and perform audits.

Maintain the Quality Management System and ensure continued compliance with the most recent ISO 9001 standards.

Consistently evaluate internal processes and procedures. Develop strategies and guidance to present to the Executive Team for continuous improvement, as needed.

Communicate with customers to resolve quality issues.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education : B.A. or B.S (A degree in Engineering)

Experience : At least five (5) years' experience in Quality Assurance. At least two (2) years' experience in management (in the manufacturing sector a plus). Experience reading part blueprints / shop prints. Experience with both 1st and 2nd party quality audits. Experience in the New Part Approval Process / First Article Inspection. Experience with the International Material Data System-IMDS.

Computer Skills : Able to efficiently operate computers and computer programs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excel and Word required, CAD / Solidworks a plus.

Certificates & Licenses :

Other Requirements : Proven, sustained record of high-quality work with excellent follow-through and strong drive for results. The ability to develop trusted relationships with key influencers and stakeholders.
