SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates the company’s maintenance function and oversight of the preventive maintenance program, repair of all equipment, machinery and vehicles. Direct reports will include all maintenance Associates for all plants. Primary responsibilities will include planning, leading, assigning, monitoring and evaluating the work of maintenance personnel. The Supervisor will be responsible for the selection and development of Associates to ensure that departmental goals and continuous improvement objectives are met. The Supervisor will hire, train, and supervise Associates to ensure a safe operation and make certain that proper processes and procedures are followed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job will supervise all maintenance positions within the organization to include, Team Leads, and Technicians. The supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these areas. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year College or university with 3 years related experience; Associates Degree with 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience should include the development and implementation of maintenance programs in an OSHA regulated, manufacturing environment. These programs should be predictive and preventative to reduce down time and associated costs, promote efficiency, and improve safety and quality. Qualified applicants should have excellent project management and negotiating skills. Other attributes required include strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with all levels of the organization and external contacts. Must have organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and possess strong facilitation skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and / or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and other regulatory external contacts.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratio and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
