Job descriptionProvide direct patient care in a Medical / Surgical Telemetry (Med / Surg Tele) unit. Work 3x12 hour shifts per week; day / night rotating shifts (7am-7 : 30pm / 7pm-7 : 30am), with flexibility for variable shifts as needed. Deliver care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring and medical / surgical interventions. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Monitor ECG rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; utilize safe medication administration practices. Maintain accurate, timely documentation using hospital systems (including Qualivis – Lotus for hours worked). Meet compliance requirements : minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Med / Surg Tele specialty prior to travel assignments. Hold a valid permanent Ohio or compact nursing license. Maintain current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation. Work at least every other holiday as part of scheduling requirements. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure safe patient care.
