We're looking for Dedicated and dependable caregivers to join our team in permanent positions. Not PRN, not part-time. This role is ideal for those who are ready to work consistently and actively , taking on O ngoing cases with flexible daily shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours.

Most of our clients are located in Cleveland's westside suburbs , so caregivers must be willing and able to Commute up to 35 minutes within that area.

Key Responsibilities :
Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing)
- Willing to travel within 35 minutes across the Westside
Provide companionship and emotional support
Light housekeeping and meal preparation
Monitor and report changes in client condition
Follow care plans and communicate with case managers

Job Responsibilities
Provide client-facing care as assignedProvide assistance with daily tasks as directed in the client's personalized plan of care, including but not limited to : feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
Provide companionship, personal and hygiene care as directed in the client's personalized plan of care, including but not limited to : bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, and assisting with measurements, if necessaryAssist clients with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and document observed changes to the Director of NursingAssist with various office / administrative tasksParticipate in office and field on-call as needed
Assist the scheduling team with assessing the competency of staff to promote quality, continuity, and safety of care for the agency's clientsTrain and educate field staff as needed to ensure services are provided in accordance with brand standardsComplete new caregiver introductions for home care cases and staffing clientsParticipate in the intake of new clients and onboarding of new employeesAssist office staff with coordinating and executing employee and client appreciation activities throughout the yearAssist the office and staff with other duties as neededAdhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency of employmentAdhere to HIPAA laws and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical informationJob Requirements
High school diploma or GEDMinimum one (1) year of documented home care assistance and / or direct care experience at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, etc., is preferredPreferred : Successful completion of a nursing assistant or certified home health aide programCertified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-rayMust have a valid driver's license and auto insurance (proof of insurance is required)Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsSelf-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervisionAbility to adhere to HIPAA and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical informationAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectivelyUp-to-date vaccinations including COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis BAbility to travel within Northeast Ohio territory, up to 60 miles from Middleburg Heights in some casesMust have flexible availability Monday through Friday and some weekendsBrightStar Care - Cuyahoga West serves the west side of Cleveland and surrounding areas (Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina counties), including the cities of Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, Berea, Brecksville, Broadview Heights, Brooklyn, Brookpark, Brunswick, Fairview Park, Independence, Lakewood, Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, Parma, Parma Heights, Rocky River, Seven Hills, Strongsville, and Westlake.
