Logistic Specialist
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Logistic Specialist for a long-term contract in Round Rock, TX. Shift : Monday Friday 8a-5p, Pay : $22 / hr.
Summary : This position is responsible for proactive inventory control within a chemical manufacturing environment. The Warehouse Operator will manage the storage, release, and distribution of materials, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the accuracy of inventory counts, identifying discrepancies in inventory counts, and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in the future.
- Receiving includes but is not limited to matching packing slips to purchase orders, detailed review of material, tagging, and identification of material, properly storing material upon receipt, acquiring all required paperwork for the receipt process, & posting inventory receipts.
- Maintain up-to-date records of inventory locations.
- Issuing inventory and consumable items, performing stock returns (RMA), posting issues / returns to inventory management software, & delivering material to end users on time.
- Timely management of expired and non-conforming items.
- Responsible for shipment of finished goods, materials, samples, and other items.
- Responsible for ensuring that all shipments meet DOT and IATA regulations.
- Maintain certifications required to perform job duties.
- Ensure that the work areas are stocked with necessary supplies to avoid service disruptions. Work with other personnel to maintain safety stocks for each consumable (ie. Shippers, temptales, trays, security bags, etc)
- Communicate with customer service and operations regarding special shipping regulations where appropriate.
- Responsible for daily closeout of orders (posting and invoice printing).
- Responsible for ensuring adequate product stock in the distribution area.
- Participate in documenting processes and identifying areas for improvement focusing on quality, efficiency, & safety.
- Maintain a safe work environment, following all company Health & Safety policies.
- Perform all tasks according to the company policies, procedures, regulatory, and cGMP requirements as applicable and demonstrate capabilities through current training records.
- Cross-train on the other tasks in the department to provide full-service support to the other teams.
- Proper management of company assets when ordering supplies, traveling, or using the assets.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma.Logistic experience including with pulling orders and receiving materials required.Prior experience in production or analytical areas or commensurate experience in a chemical handling, distribution, and / or material management environment preferred.Proficiency in computer use; MACOLA experience preferredInventory Management experiencePhysical Requirements :
