Job descriptionPreparing and maintaining hemodialysis machines. Cleaning and disinfecting equipment post-treatment. Conducting safety checks and logging results for quality control. High school graduate or equivalent. A strong desire to work in healthcare and positively impact patients' lives. Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus. Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire. Completion of the USRC training course in hemodialysis theory and practice within 8 weeks of hire. CPR certification required within 90 days of hire, or as mandated by state laws. Certification as a Patient Care Technician through a state certification or approved national program within 18 months and maintained in good standing. Ability to distinguish all primary colors. Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol. How you will change lives
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be a vital member of our dedicated team providing compassionate care and essential treatment to patients experiencing renal failure. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to ensure high-quality patient experiences.
What you'll be doing
Patient care. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, ensuring they receive safe and comfortable dialysis treatment. Your responsibilities include :
- Gathering vital patient statistics before and after treatment.
- Initiating and monitoring treatment to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Terminating treatment appropriately.
- Collecting blood samples as per physician orders.
Technician Duties. Quality is our priority, and you'll play a key role by :
Safety and Quality. You will adhere to safety protocols and regulations, using personal protective equipment and following all company policies and state / federal laws under the supervision of a Charge Nurse. Your participation in staff meetings and continuing education is crucial to ensuring the highest standards of care.
