Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Cath Lab Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 10 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with 2 years of acute care cath lab experience and active BLS and Oregon RT or RCIS credentials. Responsibilities Work in a cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure suites in an acute care setting Typical caseload includes 5-10 cases per day focusing on PCI, diagnostic catheterizations, device implants, peripheral / IR procedures, and IVC filter placements Scrubbing tableside with the physician is the primary role, with additional circulator responsibilities as needed Procedures include coronary and peripheral interventions, STEMI, IR cases, device implants, atherectomy, Impella and IABP management Must be competent in all access site management such as groin, radial, and drains Uses Meditech EMR, MCKesson / GE equipment; cath lab is the site of all IR procedures Day shifts are scheduled as four 10-hour days, 7 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm On call required every 4th day and every 4th weekend, with a 20-minute response time Primary duties include scrubbing all cases tableside, access site management, and assisting with groin / radial access and devices No floating required outside the cath lab Department supplies scrubs and provides orientation with experienced team members Must cover one major holiday and holiday weekend per year if assignment duration overlaps All procedures for IR are conducted within the cath lab by IR physicians Returning travelers may not have been employed by the CommonSpirit network, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year Requirements Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience in an acute care setting Active Oregon RT license or RCIS credential (RCIS accepted in lieu of ARRT for travelers); license required if applicable Current BLS (AHA) certification required Radiation badge required for assignment and not supplied by the facility Proven ability to set up sterile tables and scrub a variety of cath / IR cases Experience with cath and IR equipment including MCKesson / GE Two professional references : one supervisor from the past year and one peer or supervisor from the past three years, both with employment dates Copy of driver's license required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-608902.
