Business Systems Analyst

Hybrid 2 weeks per month onsite in Smithfield, RI

Our client provides a wide range of brokerage products, solutions, and services to retail and institutional investors and third-party intermediaries. Business units include personal investments, correspondent clearing, registered investment advisor services, operations and services, brokerage technology, and capital markets. The organization offers full-service systems support and comprehensive market coverage.

Rate: $50.00 to $55.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Partner with the squad lead and delivery team to define and refine business requirements and user stories.
• Conduct technical and business analysis to design and maintain dynamic solutions and technical roadmaps.
• Translate business and client needs into clear technical requirements across UX, content, architecture, engineering, legal, and compliance workstreams.
• Facilitate the flow of requirements from business stakeholders to technology teams.
• Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and validation of implemented solutions.
• Analyze APIs, identify data sources, map data, and inform technical teams on REST services dependencies.
• Communicate progress and updates to technology and business partners at all levels.
• Support both future delivery priorities and technical lifecycle management for existing applications.

Experience Requirements

• 6+ years of analyst experience delivering marketing-focused digital solutions of high value.
• Proficiency in technical and business analysis, requirements gathering and writing, and solution design.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to tailor content to varied audiences.
• Experience working in agile teams and partnering directly with a squad lead or product owner.
• Proficiency with Confluence and JIRA.
• Ability to perform API analysis including data sourcing, mapping, and understanding of REST services.
• Familiarity with SQL and ability to interpret and modify queries.
• Affinity for technology and knowledge of systems integration standards.
• Experience participating in system and user acceptance testing.
• Familiarity with API tools such as Insomnia or Bruno (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of Angular components and REST APIs (preferred).
