Position Overview :
- Implement physician orders and administer medications
- Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests
- Document treatment in accordance with company policy and regulations
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create comprehensive Plans of Care
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree)Current NYS Registered Nurse licenseCertification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive CareStrong communication, organizational, and time-management skillsKnowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniquesThis position requires access to sensitive information, and workforce members must ensure proper handling of all confidential data as per Albany Medical Center policies.
