Healthcare Outreach Coordinator

This position is Onsite at Columbia Memorial Hospital, 71 Prospect Ave, Hudson, NY 12534. This is a Full-time role (40 hours / week) requiring flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shifts during normal business hours from 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs. You will receive comprehensive training for 4 - 6 weeks, Monday to Friday, from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm.

Key Responsibilities :

• Interview patients in a hospital environment, collaborating with hospital personnel to maximize benefit coverage.
• Assist in completing applications for state and federal programs.
• Review medical records to facilitate timely benefit approval.
• Ensure adherence to all company and legal standards regarding Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
• Communicate regularly with government agencies regarding the status of claims.
• Provide updates and support to hospital personnel and other Optum team members as needed.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of claims status on Optum and / or hospital computer systems.
• Assess the appropriate use of federal, state, or local program applications according to medical definitions of disability and daily living functions.

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $17.74 to $31.63 based on Full-time employment factors. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, recognition programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility requirements).
